On Monday, the Police Command in Kano State prohibited any kind of demonstrations within the state, effective immediately. This decision came in response to information received by the Command that the New Nigeria People's Party and the All Progressives Congress, the main political parties, had gathered a group of people for a protest that lacked the approval of the Nigeria Labour Congress.
