The Osun State Government has once again provided the public with an update regarding the delivery of relief supplies from the Federal Government. This announcement coincides with the state's finalization of the distribution plan for its residents.
As stated by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Hon Kolapo Alimi, the state is anticipating the arrival of the second batch of Federal Government food relief. Simultaneously, the state is still awaiting the final shipment of 600 bags of rice from the initial batch.
The forthcoming second batch, expected to arrive soon, consists of 14,516 bags of 50kg rice and 3,200 metric tons of maize. The federal government team conveyed the following message: "We wish to inform you that the second batch of federal government food relief distribution is set to begin shortly. You are set to receive 14,516 bags of 50kg rice and 3,200MT of maize."
Hon Alimi emphasized that this update is crucial to keep the public informed about the progress of relief distribution. He clarified that one truck containing 600 bags of rice is still outstanding from the first batch. He further explained that the state government is in the final stages of designing the distribution plan, assuring that all segments of society will benefit from this endeavor.
"The Government intends to ensure complete delivery before initiating the distribution. We want to assure the public of a transparent and accountable process in sharing these food supplies with the citizens," the statement concluded.
