Backing from Nigerians will enhance the efficiency of the military -Army commander

 

Brigadier-General Muktar Adamu, Commander of the 32 Artillery Bridage in Akure, emphasized the importance of fair, objective, and accurate journalism in covering military activities. He stressed that the military's effectiveness and ability to combat crime in Nigeria relied on the support of all citizens.


During a visit by the Executive members of the Ondo State chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, Adamu underscored the significance of positive encouragement from the public for the military and security agencies to create a crime-free nation.


He expressed concern about the negative impact of unfavorable media coverage on the morale of officers and urged journalists to provide precise information without compromising national security. Adamu mentioned that the army collaborates with other security agencies in the state to address criminal activities.


Brigadier-General Adamu acknowledged the valuable role of women journalists in amplifying the voices of women and assured unwavering support for the association. The Chairperson of Ondo NAWOJ, Comrade Tola Gbadamosi, expressed gratitude for the Commander's accomplishments and sought cooperation to foster harmonious working relationships.
